FOOD

ANGEL FOOD
MINISTRIES is a nonprofit, non-denominational organization that provides groceries at a greatly reduced price. The program is open to residents of all income levels and there is no limit on the number of units an individual can purchase. There are no applications to fill out but orders must be paid for in advance. Each month's menu is different and includes a mix of fresh and frozen items with a much higher retail value than its cost of $30. Each box of food can feed a family of four for about a week, or a single senior citizen for almost a month.

Angel food ministries serve cities all over the country.  Go to the website and put in your zip code.

West Virginia Children’s Hearing Services Project

This is a benefit service for children….birth to 18…who don’t have insurance or other financial means to provide needed hearing services and supplies.

The project is funded by Mountain State Blue Cross Blue Shield and Title V.  The project is available to all children who meet eligibility and does not discriminate based on race, religion or nationality.

For more information regarding eligibility and reimbursement, please contact  304-558-5388 or toll free (in WV) 1-800-642-9704

If you feel this project may be helpful to you, please contact them ASAP as the funds are limited and if your child qualifies, the money can be set aside as needed for your child.

Thanks to our friend, Sue P. for this info.
